I LOVE my new scale- I was so tired of fighting my Taylor scale and stepping on it 5 or 6 times just trying to get two weights the same. Since I bought the EatSmart Precision Tracker (and I am tracking calories with My Fitness Pal) I am finally losing weight after trying for 2 years! It was just so discouraging before when I never could figure out if I was actually losing weight and I would just give up. I would try again to lose weight and the give up because I couldn't tell if I was making any real progress. From the beginning with this scale I could see I was making progress because it told me so.EatSmart also contacts you to remind you of how to use the scale and if you are having any issues it gives you contact information. I have purchased a lot of items through Amazon and that has never happened before - Great customer service!I need to figure out how to differentiate between 2 adults with almost the same weight... but overall a good scale. I bought this to replace my "mechanical" scale that we thought was off, but the digital one gives the same results. I love that I don't have to put my glasses on to read the numbers (far-sighted). That's a big plus!!! I loved the packaging too. I worry that it might be slippery if wet so I keep it in the dry section of the bathroom hence the 4 stars.I would certainly recommend it.So far this has been great for my needs. I have made the decision to get a bit healthier in my life and this has been a great tool to that end. It has a super sleek design just as shown online. It's easy to use and takes seconds to set-up. My husband and I both use this, and the dual settings have worked great. The unit tracks our last weigh-in results and clearly details the changes from each time. I love that you just tap the arrow under the display to switch between profiles. You just step on the scale and it goes to work. It seems very accurate to me as the initial weight was inline with my doctor's office. I would definitely recommend this product.I bought this scale to keep track of my weight over time, as I'm trying to lose weight. I try to remember to weigh myself at the same time on the same day each week. Several times I've either forgotten to weigh myself, or been away for the week. When I weigh myself the next week, the scale no longer remembers my previous weight, so I'm not able to see long-term (or short-term) success and have to keep track on paper. Also you can't tip it up and tuck away somewhere in between uses. Every time you move it, it has to be recalibrated. Overall, as just a scale, it's OK.For the most part, this has been a good and accurate scale. My only complaint is that it gives you no choice but to track your weight, as it stores your numbers. I had to take it out of my bathroom & place in my bedroom. Sometimes guests or family would weigh themselves. They would see how many pounds they've lost/gained from my weigh-in number. I know that you can switch users to keep your user weight private, but I don't always remember to adjust it when someone is over.If someone has figured out how to use the scale as a general number instead of it storing the info, I'd love to know!Just what I wanted ! However it just takes some thinking. By that I mean on my old analog scale I just saw how much I was up or down based on the space between before and after. On this new scale, I have to think Oh that is more or less. No problem but sometimes I am still asleep wet getting on it at he same time each day. Also I do not have to step up as much,It looks like the scale will work great on a flat, hard surface. However, my whole apartment is carpeted and you CANNOT use this scale on carpeting. You will not get an accurate reading. I emailed their customer service for suggestions and was simply told that I have to use it on a flat, hard surface that is not carpeted (I put in my original email that my whole apartment is carpeted) so that response was not helpful. I had to email a 2nd time (forwarded their response to me and attached my original email stating that my whole apartment is carpeted) and was simply told to return the scale through Amazon. The description on Amazon needs to say that it cannot be used on carpeting because I would not have purchased it if that was in the main product description. Now, I have to take the time to re-package the scale so that I can return it so that i can get a refund and buy a scale that will work on carpeting :-(The profile thing is a bit annoying if you have multiple people using it...it automatically stores every weight rather than allowing you to save to a profile.Overall it's great...I just make sure I step off before it has time to record (my wife uses the profile feature...if I'm not fast it will add my weight to her history)
