In 1929, Aoshima began manufacturing wooden model kits utilizing accumulated knowledge and experience from airplane operations. In 1961, Aoshima Bunka Kyozai Inc. was established, developing and manufacturing plastic model kits. Aoshima has continued to grow since then.
