The Gundam was a good size and very articulate the only issue with the whole thing is the arms fall off occasionally and the fingers don't want to stay attached but other than that it's amazingThe 00 Raiser is an extremely versatile kit; it's a shame so many of its accessories don't look all that great.Pros:- Extremely flexible. Not the most flexible kit I've ever seen, but there's something about its lean, no-frills frame just makes it seem better in this regard. That flexibility extends to pretty much every other aspect of the kit, as well: the Twin Drive system can have the drives pointing up, front, back, to the sides, pretty much anywhere. And once you attach the binders to the drives, those can rotate 360 degrees. And the binders themselves have two extremely flexible flaps. Then you've got the weapons, all of which have at least two functions. Pretty much every part of this kit is flexible.- Speaking of weapons: it may not be called the Seven Sword, but it still has seven swords, believe it or not. The GN Sword IIs can be either rifles or physical swords, and can be lengthened further by beam effect parts. On top of that, they can be combined into a single staff--and when you add the beam effects to that, it's easily one of the longest weapons I've ever seen on a kit, on par with the Full Armor Unicorn's beam halberds.- Then you've got the GN shield, which can be broken into two halves and stored on the binders, the Twin Drive system, or on each forearm as extra blades. There's also the GN Sword III, which apart from its usual gun/sword modes has a massive beam effect part to represent the Trans-Am Raiser beam. (Although admittedly, it's a bit silly to even try to emulate that effect, since it's a beam saber the size of a skyscraper.)- Finally, you've got the 0-Raiser, which can carry the binders, the GN shield, and the GN Sword III--or it can be stored on the back of the kit, where it's surprisingly inconspicuous from the front.- Another nice touch is the capability of fitting not one, not two, but FIVE light units: one in the torso, one in each GN drive, and one in each binder. The light piping in the torso is excellent as well: once it's lit up, you'll see light coming out of not just the 00's eyes, but also the sides and back of its head.- Even more accessories: sets of landing gear for the 0-Raiser; one for when it's carrying the GN Sword III and one for when it isn't. Additionally, a frosted white cockpit canopy, if you (like me) weren't a big fan of the orange one.- Finally, you get a set of GN Particle Tanks, which can take the place of the GN Drives (and are equally compatible with light units). I personally prefer the way the GN Drives look, but it's a nice option to have.- Apart from the alternate option accessories (landing gear, canopies, the particle tanks, etc.), the 00 can carry ALL of this stuff at once. Which is always nice, at least in my book.Cons:- The basic 00 might be flexible, but it has some issues with parts falling off, particularly the arms. The connection between the lower arm and the shoulder joint just isn't very solid, and you'll have to pop it back in constantly.- The hands are another weak point; instead of the usual ball-and-socket joint, they're connected by a peg on a hinge. This makes them flexible, but considerably more loose. Expect these to fall out a lot as well.- The GN Shield connections are also very poor, especially on the arms. They're so poor, in fact, that I've only been able to get them to stay attached once--and they fell off shortly after. The way they connect to the binders is a little more secure, but not by much. The shields themselves are also very plain, and look entirely too much like a surfboard for my taste when they're linked together. Plus, even if you get them attached, their position on the back of the arm makes them look practically useless unless the 00 is touching its own shoulder.- This may be a personal preference, but I think that simply rotating the blades of the GN Sword IIs sideways doesn't make them look much like guns; they look a bit silly to me. They get even sillier when you add on the beam effect parts, since the beam effects are perpendicular to the blades themselves; no matter how the 00 holds them, they will look silly.- If you don't have a stand, good luck getting him to stand on his own two feet with everything attached, especially the 0-Raiser.- The proportions on the legs are simply bizarre. There's so much room between the two joints on the knee that when you fully bend the 00's knees and feet, they form a semicircle. They're still plenty flexible, but from some angles they will look very strange. At the end of the day, I find a lot of the options on this kit to look silly, but I acknowledge that this is entirely my own opinion. And given the sheer number of options on this guy, you'll probably be able to find SOME way of displaying him that you'll like. It's a solid kit.For those who thought the 1 144 HG 00 raiser was a great kit, this one came along and dwarfed it in terms of quality and size. Quite possibly the largest gundam in my collection, and also maybe one of the widest gundams ever, this kit has quite a presence. Needless to say, it needs no paint but if you want to by all means try it. The gundam itself has a full inner frame, the head has one more or less but I'll explain later. The 0 raiser has MOST of an inner frame, the little blue wings on the wing binders do not and neither does the white flap at the top. The only stickers you need are the ones for the GN domes on the arms and legs. For the head you use a special set of stickers instead of the ones on the sticker sheet. This is so you can do the light gimmick. If you use the special stickers that come with it, you take off the backpack of the gundam and put the light unit (which uses LR41 batteries) inside the chest cavity and turn it on. Immediately you'll see a bright glow coming out of 00's eyes, sides of the head, and back of the head. This is because of a clear piece in the neck channeling the light into the clear piece in the head. It is an amazing feature, though it's only fair to warn you that a section of the head armor is thin, and you might see the green shining through the top of the head. if you buy more lights (or saved the two from MG exia ignition mode) then you can put them in the GN drives and the wing binders. The wing binder light can only be seen at a certain angle, so it's probably for the best just to use the head and drives for the lights instead. The articulation of this model is top notch. It is also very stable, i've had it for three weeks and I've been fiddling with it quite a bit and it's only fallen three times. It comes with all of it's weapons from the anime (except the GN missles... they overlooked those possibly to keep the wing binders light so that the GN drive arms aren't too stressed) and they are all good but with a few nitpicks. for one, the GN shields are not much different from the HG. Another one is that the GN sword II's do not rotate on their own, you have to pull it out and put it back in rotated. The GN sword III is HEAVY! For a model, it's a pretty heavy weapon and while it has no problems pointing the weapon straight forward, trying to bring it across the body is a bit difficult. Adding the raiser sword effect part only makes things worse. A quick and easy solution is to let super glue dry on the arm peg (the one underneath that white part) and after it's DRY put it back in, and you can have it going across the body raiser sword and all. The GN sword II's combined also flop a bit, the connection piece does not hold it well at all. Put the effect parts and it looks even worse, again super glue would fix it but i haven't tried. despite those nitpicks, the weapons are faithful to the anime and are really sharp and good looking. It looks amazing even using the regular beam sabers it comes with. i don't have a stand, but if you have the means you should really get a clear green stand. It can stand fine on it's own, but it's a gundam meant for aerial poses. It can look decent on the ground, but on a stand is where I'm sure it truly shines. Of all the representations of the 00 raiser (HG, NG, PG) this is the absolute best. None of the others, not even the perfect grade, can compete with this kit's combination of stability, detail, accuracy, and quality. 00 fan or not, pick this up ASAP or hold out for the 00 seven sword G coming out september 2011. (or get both ^_^)I'm new to gunpla, or models in general. So I have a lot of work to do. This is my 3rd ever build, with the other two being RX-78 and a Zaku, both of which were 1/144th. With this being my first 1/100th scale build, it was very fun to make and boy where there more runners(?) than I was expecting. It took a few days to build it all due to my work schedule, but I like it very much. Still learning many things about gunpla and modeling, but I really recommend this. It has very good articulation and range of motion, comes with many many accessories and variations of said accessories. The only problem I had with this kit was that one of the waist pieces just does NOT want to stay, falls off at the slightest touch, though I'm sure I can find a YouTube video to fix it. I'm still not sure if I want to fully get into this hobby, but a small part of me is already scoping out other Gunplas and kits, so I probably am starting to slid into the rabbit hole without noticing.Arrived on time and in good order. Was a great kit to put together and forms an awesome Gundam.00 Raiser has always been one of the more well know gundams and this MG kit completely lives up to its expectation. It was my third MG kit and by far my favourite. The delivery was safe and fast and the kit was well designed overall with great proportions, LED features and iconic 00 Raiser weapons.Pros:• Most stunning MG kit• Great articulation• Easy to pose• Bigger than average kit when fully equipped• LED slots• Enormous weaponsCons:• Comes with only 1 of the possible 5 LEDs• Requires a stand• Limited sticker options• Some parts of the build requires great careRecommended buy for any MG gundam fans!I started building Gundam model kits a few months ago, starting with the MG 1/100 Strike Freedom. Of all the models I've built thus far, the MG 00 Raiser completely and utterly blows all of them out of the water in terms of both quality and ease of construction. The plastic seems to be molded to a very high standard, and the parts fit together easily and comfortably. The design is also deceptively simple, with the extensive articulation accomplished with a minimum number of moving parts. The result is a model with a very fluid and natural range of motion, with no worries of something small breaking internally and ruining an entire limb. There is no stiffness in the model either, with all the moving parts having just the right balance and poise so that it can stand erect despite being back-heavy. The model isn't too delicate, either; it can be handled quite readily without any parts falling off or coming loose. If I had any criticisms at all, it'd be that the transparent plastic parts for the GN Sword III and joint covers are really hard to get off the rollers without marking them in some way. Even very carefully filing the nubs down leaves little marks in the transparency, which can't really be fixed with any method I know of. Still, this is a minor issue. Overall, I'd say that the 00 Raiser is very definitely the best model kit I've purchased thus far.Haven't started building it yet, but wow the amount of parts is mind boggling, looks like it's going to be a very interesting build. Manual is well laid out, even though it's primarily in japanese you won't have a problem understanding what needs to be done. Instructions are on par with the likes of Lego which clearly show which part goes where and it's orientation. After building it, i have to say, it's very large set, the adjustable fingers are awesome and will hold most weapons(along with the click together slot).with all the weaponry connected it's very back heavy, quite delicate also but still manages somehow to stand upright, i just with it had the stand to go with it.What can I say. It's one hell of a kit. It's super strong, all the joints are well supported, and the merge gimmick works really well. Can't wait to finish it with top cost and fire it up with the 5 LEDs I have for it.a large amount of small parts but all fairly nice, 4 stars instead of 5 because if you go for the full 00 raiser loadout with the 2 swords on the hip it becomes extremely top heavy and is likely to fall backward.also the way the upper arms are done aren't great imo, they will leap off the shoulder joint if you try to adjust them. rest is pretty solid.
